The first of it’s kind event being hosted by the AAU is all set and ready to go this weekend, Dec 4-5, in Tallahassee, FL. In an effort to minimize possible health concerns, 3 start times (2:00, 3:15, 3:30) are being used to limit the number of athletes on the course at one time.

It’s expected that there will be 63 starters split amongst the 3 races, with the 5km / 10km athletes going first. Within this field are the following HS athletes and notable open/masters as well.

The 2nd and 3rd waves consist of many up and coming Junior Olympic athletes competing at the 1km and 3km distances. Surely, we’ll be hearing their names in the next few years as they advance up the ranks and achieve performances that land them on the national leaderboards.

Officiating will be handled by 10 USATF certified Race Walk officials, of which 4 are at National or Master level certification.
